Biography
Trevor Phelps DipPFS, Cert CII(MP) is the owner and sole adviser at A Finance Ltd.
Trevor started his financial services career in 1987 as “The Man from the Pru” having originally been a qualified electrician and then a planner estimator with the NHS. His interest in investments began before his career in financial services when in 1984 he won the “BBC Money Box investor of the year” competition.
In August 1999 after nearly 13 years with Prudential he left to set up his own Independent Financial Services business “A Finance” as a sole trader. After over 12 years of successful trading as an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) as a sole trader the business was incorporated in December 2012 and now trades as “A Finance Ltd”. However we still offer the same levels of service to our loyal clients.
Presenting complex financial matters in simple terms while retaining the underlying substance is key to good Financial Planning and understanding a clients financial needs.
Trevor’s clients say he does this well and gives them the clarity they need to make financial decisions (see Testimonials page). This client understanding and engagement is a good foundation for a long term relationship. Plus it enables reviews to be completed annually with positive outcomes.
