Sitwell Supper Club
The Sitwell Supper Club is delighted to announce a special Italian-inspired Christmas Feast cooked by former MasterChef champion Dhruv Baker on Friday December 1. The menu features British charcuterie from Dhruv’s award-winning firm Tempus, antipasti platters, sumptuous pasta, epic turkey and sides, a fabulous pudding and a host of Italian sweets and chocolates.
Wiveliscombe Christmas Light Switch On
The Wiveliscombe Christmas lights will be switched on at 6pm on Friday 1st December. Santa will be in the square along with the Wiveliscombe town band playing some of your favourite carols along with a few market stalls.
Dulverton Exmoor Literacy Festival
Top names will be attending in 2023, including Michael Morpurgo – one of the UK’s most celebrated and admired writers – with a brand new book All Around The Year about life on his Devon farm due out this autumn, in conversation with writer and journalist Alice Thomson, What I Wish I’d Known When I Was Young.
Exmoor Dark Skies Festival
The festival comprises a host of events for families, amateur astronomers and everyone who feels inspired by the outdoors and the night. Events are spread all over the National Park and are run by the Exmoor National Park Authority and many other businesses and organizations. Each event should be booked separately. Come and visit for as long as you can.
Wiveliscombe Firework Display
Come along on Friday November 3rd for the annual Wiveliscombe firework display. Food & drink available throughout the evening.
Dulverton By Starlight
Taking place from 2pm to 7pm on Sunday 3rd December the annual winter festival sparkles with white lights on the Christmas trees that line the streets of this pretty moorland town. The shops and businesses will be traditionally dressed for the season and many of them will open all day for browsing and buying for Christmas goodies.
Dunster By Candlelight
The atmospheric Dunster by Candlelight in the remarkably well-preserved medieval village of Dunster on Exmoor. A charming start to the seasonal festivities, Dunster’s ancient streets ring with carol singers, choirs, brass bands and bell ringers. There is a variety of street entertainers and all the local independent shops stay open late providing ideal opportunities for quirky Christmas shopping. There are plenty of welcoming bars, cafes and restaurants should the weather be chilly.
