Support for Creative Businesses
in the 10 Parishes
We’re planning to run a series of workshops focussed on the creative businesses in our area. In order to move this forward we’ll start with an evening for all artists, designers and makers to share experiences and discuss how we can encourage and support each other better.
This creative discussion will be on Thursday 9th December and will be chaired by Neil Musson. Neil is a local artist who works internationally and has many years of business experience in the arts. He also lectures and curates exhibitions for the Royal College of Art.
The aim of the evening is to get as many creative minds together as possible to cover the following:
1. Discussion based on the following questions:
- What is your creative business?
- What do you do really well?
- What would you like to do better?
2. Presentation of potential ways in which we could support creative businesses
- A chance to share opinions about our ideas for events, exhibitions and workshops.
3. Networking with drinks and snacks.
To make the conversation more visual please confirm attendance by emailing one image of your work or studio to neil@mussonretallick.com. This will be displayed whilst you introduce your business and it will be really exciting to see the range of artistic skill that surrounds us; Please don’t be shy, it’s very informal and you only have to say a few sentences!
We are hoping for a good attendance so that we can shape the future of the 10 Parishes Business Group to work for you.
The event starts at 6–8pm on Thursday 9th December in Wiveliscombe Community Centre.
